Growing up in Columbus Ohio Amy was immersed in the sounds and emotions of Worship. The melodies and passion of Artists like Keith Green and Amy Grant filled the air every Saturday morning as her father Scott woke Amy and her younger sister with singing and tickling.  Singing was a natural part of growing up for Amy.  With her mom playing piano and her father belting out ballads, Amy felt natural expressing herself with her voice.

When Amy was a child people often recognized that there was something special about her. Even at the age of 5 Amy showed a sincere desire to share Gods love with other people. Her mother Pam recalls a number of times when she would receive a phone call only to find that the person on the other side of the line wasn’t interested in talking with her. Instead the person would ask if Amy would pray with them, and right there little 5 year old Amy would pray over the phone and ask God to come and help the person.

As a teen Amy found herself singing everywhere she went. She woke up singing, and she sang while she did her hair and makeup. At night the hair dryer was replaced with an acoustic guitar and a pad of paper that she used to express her heart to God. God wasn’t the only one taking notice of her worshipers heart. In every ministry that Amy got involved in she was given the opportunity to serve as a worship leader. Both in high school and college she took the opportunities that came to her and continued to grow in her abilities. For Amy it was never about being in the spot light. Amy has always been happy to worship God in the privacy of her own room, but it was her leaders that saw the gifting in her and called her out to help lead others in getting to a greater level of intimacy in worship.

In 2004 Amy married Jesse Knudson. The two met in church and quickly became good friends. As their friendship grew they began to recognize a natural chemistry and once they finally started dating they discovered that their friendship would last a lifetime.

One of the many things that Amy and Jesse shared was a love for worship. They found themselves writing and playing worship music together as well as ministering together when the opportunities presented themselves.

With a voice that is both smooth and powerful Amy brings emotion to every note that rings from her heart.  Her songs of mercy, grace and praise, penetrate the heart and remind the listener of the unending love of God.  Having a confidence that only comes from experiencing Gods love, Amy sings praise and worship with a joy and passion that moves the listener to enter into worship themselves!  Amy and Jesse have always tried to express their passion for Jesus to others. Whether at church or at work they look for opportunities to love and serve the people around them.

Amy and Jesse are members of Open Door Ministries of Chillicothe Ohio. In the spring of 2007 they stepped down from their responsibilities in their churches worship ministry to start and lead their churches children’s worship ministry. It’s in worshipping with the 1st thru 5th graders that Amy has gained a deeper revelation about the sincerity that can come from the little hearts that she leads.

After recently releasing her debut CD, Amy has been traveling with her band performing and sharing Gods love with youth groups and churches across Ohio. Amy’s vision is to glorify God and to share his love with as many people as she can. One of the ways that she does is by sharing a message that God has put on her heart. “God has given us one life to live one love to give and one world to change.” its by each of us drawing closer to God and sharing the love that he has given us that we will be able to make a difference in this world.
